What is the greatest quality of the Web? I thought it was the possibility of putting people and ideas in contact,
besides the traditional communication channels, which are subject to serious technical limitations and, let's say, political and economical ones.
In the far past, to reach a large audience you had to write books; later newspapers and then radio and television were born.
Nowadays, thanks to the Internet, people who would have never had the possibility to communicate and exchange thoughts and opinions can do that, meeting one another
without physical - and social - limits.
Unfortunately, due to this the Internet now spreads all kinds of trash, falsities, real madness. More than that, the difusion of that content has become a way to gaggle people again,
without any effort on the side of the censors.
Besides that, people end up meeting only those who share the seem opinions, with the creation of "confirmation bubbles" isolated among one another.
Having said that, last year I woke up Eurinome from hybernation to talk about Palestine, above all the events of Gaza, and the first Israel-Iran war, part of the war without end.
Now I am also inaugurating the English version of this website. This is just a beginning: until recently all the material was only available in Italian, and most still is. I will progressively translate the parts of the old contents that I deem worthwhile, and from now on I am publishing the new material in both Italian and English.
Now a full update about the Iran war would be needed, but today (10 aprile 2026) I am just indicating the initiative to demand the full suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement in view of Israel's violations of human rights.
We have begun, anyway, and as I go on updating the site I am also translating materials. Most of the material is still in Italian only, for instance Verità relativa e verità assoluta.
While I am reasoning whether to put Eurinome on a publishing platform, I am still coding by hand.
